Hello! I'm Katelyn

The Owner + Chef

A little about me: I am a new mom, I love coffee, and I love cooking delicious & nutritious food. Growing up, my dad was a chef & restaurant consultant, so I lingered behind him learning everything he did and naturally became SO passionate about spreading joy through deliciously cooked food. We’d always dreamed of teaming up and cooking together, but in 2020 he unfortunately had a stroke and passed away at 46 years young. A couple of years later, I closed my trauma-informed business & life coaching business of 5+ years and launched Grounded by Food to honor our shared dream.

I am a self-taught chef who has studied nutrition and is passionate about helping people heal from the inside out, both through food and mental health. I’ve lived in Pinellas County since I was 5 & graduated USFSP with an international business degree. I love being in the sun, being a tourist in our city, rollerblading, and exploring every coffee shop around.

Our Mission & Non-profit Impact

Anti-inflammatory food doesn't have to be boring. Counting your macros isn't the healthiest way to lose weight or build a relationship with food. Since we launched in 2022, our mission has been to help our clients heal from the inside out without the stress of meal planning, shopping, and cooking every week. Every year we have clients report of better bloodwork results (lower cholesterol, balanced blood sugar, lower internal inflammation) and reaching their weight goals. With our meal prep services, you're investing in your health, giving yourself time back, and lowering your stress levels.

A portion of every sale also gets donated to our new non-profit, The Grounded Mother Project, where we support pregnant & postpartum women with nutrient-dense food to support hormone balancing, lowering internal inflammation, and increasing milk supplies. We are still in the establishment phase, but we will be dedicated to creating Grounded Mothers soon :)

Our overall goal is to open a commercial kitchen & anti-inflammatory cafe space.
